Central Credit Register

The Central Credit Register (CCR) collects information from banks and other financial institutions on credit and credit applications of €500 or more. The CCR gives consumers more information on their financial profile, and gives the Central Bank of Ireland insights into national trends.

You can read more information about the CCR and may ask for a copy of your individual credit report at www.centralcreditregister.ie.

The Credit Reporting Act 2013 provides you with four important rights. You can:

  1. Ask for a free credit report.
  2. Place an Explanatory statement on your credit report.
  3. Ask to have your information amended.
  4. Place a Notice of Suspected Impersonations.

You can read more information about each of your rights in the borrower area of the CCR’s website at www.centralcreditregister.ie where you will also find more information about how the CCR works and the information we must submit (e.g. Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) and telephone number). This detail is outlined in the CCR Factsheet “Knowing how the Central Credit Register works”.

Please note you are also obliged to advise us about aggregate foreign debt of more than €5,000 (if applicable) on making a credit application.

If you wish to apply for a mortgage with Haven, you will need to provide us with an original or electronic version (for example, a PDF or photo) of a document showing both your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) and full name.
